Easter & Shane's Birthday

Happy Easter! Harley was so excited! She got some new sandals, treats, Dora cups and lots of toys to play in the sand.

Noah finally got up, you can tell he still has bed head. He got a cute Noah's Ark foam book and some cookies.
We colored Easter Eggs! Harley loved it, Noah watched from the side lines, next year buddy!
This is random, but this is what happens when daddy helps Harley get her jammies on.
My family came over for a BBQ for Shane's birthday. Shane got the deck done just in time. We made a little sand box for the kids to play in. It was a big hit.
The deck is really nice, it's huge!
This is what my sisters gave Shane for his birthday, apparantly he's famous for saying this all the time...
We tried to get all the kids looking at the same time, this is as good as we could do...
Noah and cousin Taylie, they are just three months apart

House Update

Take a look at that beautiful driveway!
The brick looks finished from the front now! We are still working on the back, though - a few more weeks.

Shane and his dad whipped out the two sides of the house in just a few days! It was the best progress yet!

They are doing an awesome job!

Moving on to the inside...time to put up finish wood.

I love the big headers over the door, very classy.

These boards will go up after the hard wood and tile are done. We are now moving on to paint.

We decided to do a glaze over the trim and doors. It took an extra week of work, but I think it looks awesome!

We had to paint on the glaze, it's like a really thick stain, then wipe it off. The doors were the most painful and slow.

Luckily we had lots of help to speed it up, or it would have taken forever!

We are all done painting now. The walls blend really well with the trim. I'm really happy with how the colors are coming together. It's a good thing too, because we realized that painting is a lot of work! Shane is not about to dive into that one again any time soon.

Here is the master bath and closet. We got the green coat down on the floors for tile now so that's the next big project.

Harley and Noah's bathroom. Notice how cool the trim around the door is with that glaze in the crevices. So cool!

Kevin made our mantle for the fireplace. He did an amazing job!

Shane and Jeff got the fireplace all framed in today and we picked out our rock, things are moving along pretty fast now!

Merry Christmas 2011

This is our handsome little man at 6 months!
Harley is helping Grandma and Grandpa put the tree up

She and Daddy got a little side-tracked, I wouldn't want to get behind the wheel with her driving though!

Harley and I made a little "gingerbread house" with graham crackers, I think she ate more than she put on the house.

The annual McFarland Christmas Party, Harley and Rylee are singing songs with the other great-grandchildren.

That's the cutest Reindeer I've ever seen!

I didn't even get a smile that big on Christmas Morning!

I thought I could get such a cute picture with the two of them on the sleigh, but as soon as I got one situated, the other one moved. This was as good as I could do.

Harley and Rylee

Christmas Eve, Daddy got a little bored, so he played with Harley and her cousins.

Lots of visiting...

Christmas Morning....here come the spoils!

A tie with Jason's face on it...priceless (Really, no one would buy this!)

It was a beautiful day, we sat outside for a while!

Merry Christmas 2011!
