Happy Halloween

Harley has a new favorite holiday!
Noah's not quite sure about it.

We tried a few different costumes for Harley because we borrowed a dragon costume from my sister and when we got it out to show her she was scared of it. So we tried a monkey since Noah was so excited to be one, lol!

She thought it was pretty cool. She ran around making monkey noises all night. This picture is so funny because it looks like a monkey is really pushing Noah!

We tried "Little Miss Piggy". She thought that was silly. I think my older sister wore that one when she was 3.

But she warmed up to the dragon and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. This is her "ROAR".

Our ward had a little carnival that was fun for the kids. We were excited that Shane took a night off the house to come with us.

You might think the Young Men talked Shane into joining them in stuffing a whole donut in their mouths, but it was actually HIS idea!

Noah thought the party was really "happening." It was actually happening without him though, because he fell asleep!

My mom and I took Harley down to Gardner Village because they have all these witches set up. Harley didn't know what to think. It was really fun, there were a lot of kids dressed up in costumes too.

I had a hard time getting her to look at the camera, she wanted to turn around and look at the witches.

This one turned out so cute!

We carved pumpkins with Shambree and Rylee and Grandma.

We didn't keep Harley and Rylee's attention very long, so you'll notice that only Harley's pumpkin got carved. She was done before we got to Noah's.

Here we are on our way to the neigbors to Trick-or-Treat! It's so funny when you get down to put yourself at a child's eye level, they crouch down too.

At Grandma's house- Noah, Harley, and Rylee.

Happy Halloween!

House Update

We started on the brick the first of October. Shane had some really great ideas for the detail, but it sure is a lot of work for him and his dad. It looks awesome!
Shane sent me around looking at cool details we could do over the garage. I came up with this little design, I thought it turned out pretty good (this isn't the finished product).

Here's Shane and his dad working away...

The finished product (the garage anyway...we have a long way to go)

Meanwhile, the sheetrock is coming along on the inside. It's starting to look like a house now!

Harley stopped for a pose in her room

Here is the family room, the corner is the fireplace.

Growing Babies!

Isn't that adorable! Grandma took these beautiful pictures!
Morgan says he looks like an old man, I love it though!

Harley didn't want to participate, so I didn't get very many of her smiling. We're lucky she held still long enough to get any!

Here's Noah's serious pose...

We had to bribe her for this adorable cheese!

She is never hesitant to give her brother hugs and kisses. You couldn't ask for a better big sister!

Noah's Blessing

Noah Shane McFarland was blessed on July 24, 2011.

His arms are in there somewhere. His outfit is a double extra small, but I barely got it to button around his neck. I guess he has a big neck. Most of the time I had it unbuttoned because I was afraid he'd stop breathing! He's such a quiet sleeper (during the day!).

Harley loves being a big sister!

I wanted to get some cute pictures while he was still in his blessing outfit, but he wasn't cooperating very well. He was hungry and let's face it, his outfit doesn't look that comfortable.

I did get a pretty good "serious" pose.

We had a little Barbeque at my parents house after.

This is our friend Raechel. She happened to be visiting from California that day, so she stopped by.

Here is Morgie, she's been so much help. I'm gonna miss her when she moves away to college!

If you couldn't tell, this is Shane's dad. We'll see if Noah carries as much resemblance! Harley sure does.

Lagoon Trip

We took Harley to Lagoon in July while my sister was in town. She didn't know what to think at first, but it didn't take long before she was having a blast.

The park wasn't busy at all, it was great. The first ride we went on we were the only ones on it, it was the kiddie version of the tidal wave. It was funny because it broke at the end of our ride, so we had to wait a little while before we could get off. A little while later, Harley and I got on this little ride while Shane went to get our cooler for lunch. We waited in line for a little while then when we finally got on the ride it broke too. We sat there forever it seemed like before they finally let us off. I guess we're bad luck!

It was great to go with my sister because her kids could ride the kiddie rides with Harley. They had so much fun together!

This is my sister's new baby, Taylie. She is adorable. Apparently she loves apples, but doesn't have any teeth yet. So it was just really slobbery!

Here she is in the boats with her cousin Moroni. They loved ringing that bell!

Watch out! They are both crazy drivers!

This is her cousin Miriah

After our lagoon trip, we decided it was time for Harley to lose the mullet look, so she had her first official haircut!

Now she's got a cute little bob!
